Job summary

Tessera Labs is seeking an Oracle MFCS/Retail Merchandising Lead to own the MFCS merchandising workstream for a remote US engagement. You will serve as the primary functional authority on Oracle MFCS, overseeing item, purchasing, pricing, inventory and allocation processes.

The role requires hands-on MFCS mastery and end-to-end delivery leadership with a blended Tessera consultant and client team. You will drive discovery workshops, define future-state processes, and validate designs, data

Qualifications

• Expert-level Oracle MFCS skills and 8+ years in Oracle Retail Merchandising MFCS/RMFCS/RMS.
• 3+ years leading MFCS functional delivery.
• 2 full lifecycle MFCS (cloud) implementations through go-live.
• Deep knowledge of MFCS item, purchasing, pricing, inventory and cost management.
• Experience with RICS REST APIs and integration patterns with ERP/ecommerce/POS.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end MFCS functional solution and design authority for merchandising workstream.

Oracle MFCS/Retail Merchandising lead

Role overview

Tessera Labs is hiring an Oracle MFCS / Retail Merchandising Lead to own the merchandising workstream of our Oracle Retail engagement with a customer. Deep, hands-on MFCS expertise is the core requirement. This person is the primary functional authority on Oracle Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS) and the business processes it supports: item, pricing, purchasing, inventory and allocation.

The lead runs design through hypercare, leads a blended team of Tessera consultants and customer stakeholders, and translates the omnichannel apparel business into a clean, scalable MFCS configuration.

Key responsibilities

Solution leadership

• Own the end-to-end MFCS functional solution and design authority for the merchandising workstream

• Lead discovery and fit-gap workshops with Alo merchandising, planning, buying, inventory control and finance teams

• Define future-state processes that favor standard MFCS functionality and minimize customization

• Author and sign off functional design documents, configuration workbooks and extension specifications

Delivery

• Configure MFCS foundation data, item, purchasing, pricing and inventory functions

• Partner with the integration lead on RICS / REST API mappings to ecommerce, POS, WMS and ERP

• Drive data migration design, mapping and reconciliation across conversion cycles

• Plan and run SIT and UAT for merchandising; triage and resolve defects with Oracle and Alo IT

• Own the merchandising cutover plan and go-live readiness checklist

Required qualifications

• Expert-level Oracle MFCS skills: 8+ years in Oracle Retail Merchandising (MFCS, RMFCS or RMS), with 3+ years leading MFCS functional delivery

• At least 2 full-lifecycle MFCS (cloud) implementations through go-live

• Deep functional knowledge of item, purchasing, pricing, inventory and cost management in MFCS

• Working knowledge of RICS, MFCS REST APIs and integration patterns with POS, WMS, ecommerce and ERP

• Hands-on data conversion experience using MFCS data loading tools and reconciliation

• Experience leading workshops with merchants, planners and finance at director level

• Strong written design documentation and status reporting skills

• Able to work onsite at Alo's Los Angeles offices and travel to the client site

Preferred qualifications

• Apparel, footwear or specialty retail experience with style/color/size items and seasonal assortments

• DTC and omnichannel experience (ecommerce, stores, wholesale)

• Oracle Retail Allocation, Pricing Cloud Service, ReSA or Retail Insights experience

• Exposure to Oracle Xstore, Manhattan or Blue Yonder WMS, and Oracle Fusion or NetSuite financials

• Oracle Retail cloud certification

• Prior consulting or systems integrator experience
