Job summary

Yoh Services LLC is seeking an Oracle Golden Gate DBA in Dallas, offering a 12+ month contract with hybrid work arrangements. The role demands 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience, with hands-on Oracle 19c, Golden Gate (Classic and Microservices), RAC/ASM/Data Guard, and Data Pump, along with strong scripting and DevOps awareness.

The position requires readiness for 24x7 shifts and collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate will install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot real-time data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Hands-on Oracle 19c installation and administration.
• Strong experience with Oracle Golden Gate (Classic and Microservices).
• Experience with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, OEM for high availability.
• Proficiency with Oracle Data Pump utilities.
• Performance tuning with AWR/ADDM; exposure to OEM monitoring.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willing to work in a 24x7 rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Oracle Golden Gate for real-time replication.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Golden Gate processes (lag, conflicts, failures).
• Instantiate new tables and backfill modifications in replicated environments.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for reporting, automation, and monitoring.
• Contribute to performance optimization and capacity planning of high-volume replication systems.
• Use AWR/ADDM and other tools to improve database and replication performance.
• Implement Data Guard and RAC environments; day-to-day admin and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with application teams on replication requirements and changes.
• Attend DBA meetings and follow Oncor standard DBA practices.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

• Minimum 8+ Yrs. relevant experience in Oracle Database Administration
• Hands‑on experience withOracle 19cinstallation and administration
• Strong experience withOracle Golden Gate (Classic and Microservices architectures)
• Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle Golden Gate installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments
• Experience with Oracle database environments includingRAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, and OEMto ensure high availability and consistency of replicated data
• Strong experience with Oracle Data Pump (Export/Import)utilities
• Proficiency indatabase performance tuning (AWR, ADDM)and exposure toOEMmonitoring
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and documentation skills
• Willing to work in 24x7 environment with rotational shifts
• Knowledge ofshell scriptingand automation frameworks
• Candidate should be able to quickly understand and resolve issues, mitigate risks and dependencies and the ability to drive assignments to completion

Responsibilities:

• Instantiate new tables and backfill table modifications in a replicated environment
• Develop and maintainshell scriptsfor reporting, automation, and Golden Gate monitoring
• Contribute toperformance optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity planningof high-volume replication systems
• UtilizeAWR, ADDM, and other performance toolsto analyze and improve database and replication performance
• Implementperformance tuning to enhance throughput and replication efficiency
• Implement, configure, and maintainData Guard and RACenvironments, handling day-to-day administration and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with application teams on new data replication requirements and modifications to existing data replication processes
• Attend DBA team meetings and follow Oncor standard DBA practices

• Prior experience of working in a DevOps / Agile environment
• Working knowledge of JIRA is a plus
• Experience working inheterogeneous database replication environments is a plus
• Cloud experience is a plus
