Job summary

AHU Technologies Inc. seeks a database developer to support an OSS web application for telecommunications. You will build and maintain an Oracle database (11g/19c) in a GIS-enabled environment and integrate data from SQL Server and Esri tools.

In the Washington, DC area, the role is contract W2/1099/C2C with hybrid onsite/remote schedule; you will work in an Agile/Scrum team, develop data models, ERDs, and procedures, and guide migration while ensuring existing functionality.

Qualifications

Oracle Database Developer Experience – 3+ years (required)
Database Administration Experience – 2+ years (required)
Experience with Spatial Queries and Geometry Objects – 2+ years (required)
Data Model Visualization (ERDs) – 1+ year (required)
Interest in using GIS tools – 1+ year (required)
Experience with Esri products – 1+ year (required)
Version control systems (Git) – 1+ year (required)
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience (required)
Experience with planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities – 2+ years (required)
Experience with leading projects, ensuring they follow established standards/procedures – 2+ years (highly desired)
Must be able to qualify for a journeyman level position – 6+ years (required)

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance the Oracle database for the OSS web application.
Migrate data from Oracle 11g to Oracle 19c stepwise while preserving functionality.
Develop data models using SQL, triggers, and PL/SQL with multistep transactions.
Visualize data models with ERDs and other methods.
Integrate data from SQL Server and GIS sources (ESRI).
Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum team and communicate issues clearly.
Provide technical guidance and seek solutions proactively.
