Job summary

Cognizant seeks an Oracle Fusion ERP Functional Test Lead to ensure the quality and successful delivery of Fusion ERP implementations, covering finance, procurement, data conversion, and enterprise integrations. You will lead SIT, E2E, UAT, and release validation while collaborating with ERP consultants, business process owners, partners, offshore teams and program stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Enterprise Application Testing.
• 6+ years of experience leading functional testing for Oracle ERP or Oracle Financials implementations.
• Experience owning testing activities for at least one full lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP implementation from design through go-live.
• Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Financials processes including General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, Period Close, Consolidation, Accounting Hub, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).
• Experience designing and executing test scenarios independently, without requiring detailed guidance from ERP functional consultants.
• Practical understanding of financial accounting concepts, including chart of accounts, legal entities, business units, intercompany transactions, accruals, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise data conversion, migration validation, reconciliation testing, and financial data integrity verification.
• Experience performing integration testing across multiple enterprise systems and interfaces.
• Experience leading and directing offshore testing teams while reviewing test deliverables for quality and completeness.
• Proficiency with enterprise test management tools and strong focus on traceability, defect management, and test evidence documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document actionable defects and testing outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute end-to-end test scenarios from enterprise design and configuration.
• Lead functional testing across SIT, End-to-End, UAT, and release cycles.
• Own ERP integration testing across finance and procurement ecosystems.
• Define and validate data conversion and migration test scenarios.
• Validate financial controls, approvals, SoD, and risk/compliance requirements.
• Facilitate UAT sessions with business users, manage execution and defects.
• Drive defect triage and resolution with ERP consultants and SI partners.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to identify regression candidates and plan automation.
