Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking a Finance ERP Oracle Lead to drive the Oracle ERP financial roadmap and align Finance with IT and vendors. You will own the month-end close, oversee configurations, and ensure accurate reporting across Oracle modules.

You will translate complex financial needs into technical specs, lead implementations, and optimize workflows to reduce manual work. This remote role offers minimal travel and broad US eligibility.

Qualifications

• Strong functional expertise in Oracle ERP financial modules (GL, AP, FA, Project Accounting, ARCS).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
• Experience liaising between Finance and IT organizations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and lead cross-functional resolutions.
• Excellent communication skills translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Represent DTV Finance requirements to IT teams, Oracle Finance Technology group, and external vendors for new projects.
• Serve as the primary functional voice for Finance in cross-department discussions.
• Act as the overall functional lead for Oracle driven financial activities, enhancements, and optimizations.
• Oversee configuration, testing, and deployment of updates or new functionality within Oracle financial modules.
• Maintain deep understanding of Oracle ERP capabilities to recommend improvements and best practices.
• Lead daily operational support for Oracle financial modules, coordinating troubleshooting with IT and vendors.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve stability, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Support system processes related to monthly, quarterly, and annual book close.
• Ensure Oracle workflows, integrations, and data flows support timely financial reporting.
• Partner with Finance teams to streamline close activities and reduce manual work via automation.
• Translate complex accounting needs into actionable specifications.
• Document business requirements and create functional designs and process flows.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to meet compliance and performance expectations.
