Job summary

Atos is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own the Oracle Exadata platform lifecycle in a United States environment. You will drive Exadata migrations, upgrades, and platform refresh projects while optimizing workloads on KVM and Linux platforms.

The role requires deep Oracle DB infrastructure expertise, strong Linux administration skills, and hands-on scripting/automation using Shell, Python, and Ansible.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure engineering or enterprise platform administration.
• Strong Oracle Exadata administration and support experience.
• Hands-on Exadata migrations, upgrades, platform refresh projects.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle Database infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with Linux administration, Oracle RAC/ASM/Data Guard.
• Scripting/automation with Shell, Python, Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the enterprise Oracle Exadata platform lifecycle.
• Lead Exadata upgrade, migration, and refresh initiatives, including X8 to X11 transitions.

• Support high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and performance issues across integrated systems.
• Collaborate with database, application, storage, network, and security teams.
• Develop operational standards, technical documentation, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership for platform modernization and future-state architecture.

• Strong expertise in Oracle Exadata administration and support.

• Deep knowledge of Oracle Database infrastructure technologies.
• Extensive experience with:
  • Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard environments.
  • Experience with performance monitoring, capacity planning, and tuning.
  • Knowledge of backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Scripting and automation experience using Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking, storage, and infrastructure security principles.
