Job summary

LingaTech, LLC seeks an experienced Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to lead migration of large Oracle 19c databases to Oracle Exadata in AWS, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability across development, testing, and production environments.

You will focus on database administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and platform optimization while collaborating with engineering and application teams to support mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience with Oracle Exadata architecture including storage cells, InfiniBand networking, Smart Scan, and HCC.
• 7 years of experience managing storage with ASM and monitoring ASM disk groups.
• 5 years of experience troubleshooting complex issues across database, OS, and Exadata storage components.
• 5 years of experience writing SQL.
• 5 years of experience participating in on-call rotations and performing weekend work.
• 3 years of experience applying Exadata storage cell, compute node, and firmware patches, as well as database-level PSU, DBRU, and Release Updates.
• 3 years of experience with performance tuning at both the database and Exadata storage layers.
• 2 years of experience designing database schemas, access patterns, indexing, locking strategies, and tuning Oracle databases.
• 2 years of experience using OEM/Cloud Control for monitoring and diagnostics.
• 2 years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining GoldenGate.
• 2 years of experience with advanced security and Data Guard replication.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migrations of large Oracle 19c databases to Exadata in AWS, including planning, execution, cutover, and validation.
• Design and implement Exadata-optimized database configurations, storage features, and performance strategies.
• Administer Exadata environments across development, testing, and production, including schema design, data modeling, and SQL optimization.
• Perform advanced database and storage performance tuning using AWR/ASH analysis, indexing, partitioning, and resource management.
• Configure and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using Data Guard.
• Implement and manage replication solutions using GoldenGate.
• Troubleshoot performance, configuration, and availability issues across Exadata and Linux platforms.
• Execute database backups, restores, patching, and upgrades for Exadata environments.

Hybrid Role: Onsite as needed in The Research Triangle. The Oracle Exadata Database Administrator will lead the migration of large-scale Oracle 19c databases to Oracle Exadata in AWS, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability across development, testing, and production environments.
