Job summary

SMX is seeking an accomplished Senior Business Analyst to collect, document, and analyze business requirements and configure Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and align the system with business objectives.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, design, configuration and testing of EBS modules, and providing functional support and documentation to enable successful production deployment.

Qualifications

• Active clearance/public trust required or sponsor-based clearance.
• Experience implementing treasury and cash management in Oracle EBS.
• Deep accounting LOA configuration knowledge.
• Ability translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Experience with requirements gathering, testing, and solution design.
• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related field; 10+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements for Oracle EBS configurations.
• Design functional specifications leveraging Oracle EBS functionality.
• Configure Oracle EBS modules to meet business needs and support projects to production.
• Create test plans and perform functional testing including UAT support.
• Provide ongoing end-user support and coordinate issue resolutions with tech teams.
• Bridge business units and technical teams for smooth integration.
• Analyze current processes and identify Oracle EBS improvement opportunities.
• Develop system and user documentation and deliver end-user training.

Job description

SMX is seeking accomplished Senior Business Analysts to collect, document, and analyze business requirements and configure Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing and implementing system solutions, providing functional support, performing testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and align the system with business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Requirements analysis: Work with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new features, enhancements, and configurations in Oracle EBS.

• Solution design: Translate business needs into functional specifications and design system solutions that leverage Oracle EBS functionality.

• Configuration and implementation: Configure and set up Oracle EBS modules to meet business requirements and support projects through to production.

• Testing: Create test plans, scripts, and cases, and perform functional testing and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Functional support: Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and coordinate resolutions with technical teams.

• Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and successful integration of solutions.

• Process improvement: Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Oracle EBS.

• Documentation and training: Develop system and user documentation and deliver training to help users adopt new functionalities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Active clearance or public trust based on sponsor.

• Commercial treasury and cash management implementation experience.

• Deep understanding accounting and specifically line of accounting (LOA) configuration.

• Application enablement skills

• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and its modules (e.g., Finance, Procurement).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

• Experience with requirements gathering, testing, and solution design.

• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Directly related postgraduate study may be substituted for experience at the rate of three credit hours for three months of experience up to 36 credit hours.

• Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 experience.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Oracle certifications, such as OCP for EBS R12 preferred.

• Federal financials / LOA understanding

• Oracle Cloud development and Oracle APEX experience.

• Project costing

• Oracle EBS core financial accounting knowledge

• BS in accounting or CPA highly desired

The proposed salary for this position is:

$88,000—$146,000 USD
