Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to collect, document, and analyze business requirements and configure Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions in support of government contracts.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, solution design, EBS configuration, testing (including UAT), and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and align the system with business objectives. A minimum of 10 years' experience and a relevant degree are required.

Qualifications

• Active clearance or public trust required.
• Experience with Oracle EBS Finance and Procurement.
• 10+ years in business analysis or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to document and translate requirements to technical specs.
• Experience with LOA configuration and treasury/cash management is preferred.

• Functional support: provide ongoing support, troubleshoot, and coordinate with technical teams.
• Collaboration: act as a bridge between business units and IT for successful integration.
• Process improvement: analyze processes and identify Oracle EBS-driven improvements.
• Documentation and training: develop system/user docs and deliver training.

SMX is seeking accomplished Senior Business Analysts to collect, document, and analyze business requirements and configure Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) solutions. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, designing and implementing system solutions, providing functional support, performing testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and align the system with business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Requirements analysis: Work with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new features, enhancements, and configurations in Oracle EBS.

• Solution design: Translate business needs into functional specifications and design system solutions that leverage Oracle EBS functionality.

• Configuration and implementation: Configure and set up Oracle EBS modules to meet business requirements and support projects through to production.

• Testing: Create test plans, scripts, and cases, and perform functional testing and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Functional support: Provide ongoing support to end-users, troubleshoot issues, analyze problems, and coordinate resolutions with technical teams.

• Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and successful integration of solutions.

• Process improvement: Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Oracle EBS.

• Documentation and training: Develop system and user documentation and deliver training to help users adopt new functionalities.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Active clearance or public trust based on sponsor.

• Commercial treasury and cash management implementation experience.

• Deep understanding accounting and specifically line of accounting (LOA) configuration.

• Application enablement skills

• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and its modules (e.g., Finance, Procurement).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

• Experience with requirements gathering, testing, and solution design.

• Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Directly related postgraduate study may be substituted for experience at the rate of three credit hours for three months of experience up to 36 credit hours.

• Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 experience.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Oracle certifications, such as OCP for EBS R12 preferred.

• Federal financials / LOA understanding

• Oracle Cloud development and Oracle APEX experience.

• Project costing

• Oracle EBS core financial accounting knowledge

• BS in accounting or CPA highly desired

The proposed salary for this position is:

$88,000—$146,000 USD
