Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an Oracle EBS Application DBA (Data Platform Engineer) for a hybrid Lincolnshire, IL assignment. The role focuses on technical vision, development, and support of next‑generation data platforms.

You will work hands-on with Oracle EBS 12.2.x, Oracle Database 19c, WebLogic, and Linux, delivering design, build, maintenance, and optimization for critical business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.
• Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration, including upgrades, migrations, and application support.
• Strong experience managing the full lifecycle of Oracle WebLogic Server, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical vision, development, and support of data platforms.
• Design, build, maintain, and optimize database environments that support critical business operations.
• Manage full lifecycle of Oracle WebLogic Server installations and upgrades.
• Provide hybrid on-site and remote support in Lincolnshire, IL environment.

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Oracle EBS Application DBA (Data Platform Engineer) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Lincolnshire, IL/Hybrid. 3 day a week on site. Requires candidates who are local. Details of the position are as follows:

Job Details

• 3-month assignment, possibility extension based upon performance and budget.
• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM CST (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)
• Position will be responsible for the technical vision, development, and support of our next-generation data platforms. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.x, Oracle Database 19c, WebLogic, and Linux-based environments.
• The ideal candidate will serve as both an application and platform DBA, helping to design, build, maintain, and optimize database environments that support critical business operations.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Middleware technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Oracle Fusion, or Oracle EPM is highly desirable.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Oracle database administration.
• Comprehensive experience with Oracle 19c (or newer) RAC environments on Linux/Unix, including software installation, database creation, patching, performance tuning.
• Backup and recovery.
• Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration, including upgrades, migrations, and application support.
• Strong experience managing the full lifecycle of Oracle WebLogic Server, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud applications such as Oracle Fusion, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Experience with Oracle Middleware technologies, including SOA Suite, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services and architecture.
• Oracle professional certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), OCI Architect Certification, WebLogic Server Administrator Certification.
