Job description

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer. This position will perform the following duties (but not limited to):

• Design, develop, build, analyze, evaluate, and install database management systems, including database modeling, relational database architecture, metadata, and repository creation and configuration management.
• Use data mapping, data mining, and data transformation analysis tools to design and develop databases.
• Determine data storage needs and optimal storage requirements.
• Prepare system requirements, source analysis, process analyses, and design throughout the database implementation.
• Evaluate, size, and select technology components such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities for database management systems and application databases. Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Implement comprehensive backup and database replication solutions.
• Participate in data corrections that need to be applied to the database.
• Collaborate with the application development team to create solutions for application requirements that require database modifications.
• Responsible for QLIK reporting tools, including writing QLIK reports and using ETL/QVD generators to supply source data.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years with a BS/BA; minimum of 6 years with an MS/MA; minimum of 3 years with a PhD; or 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Certification required: Security+ from CompTIA - must be current.
• Position is 100% remote.
• Candidate must have experience with Oracle and QLIK.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
