Job summary

Technogen is looking for an Oracle DBA SME for a long-term project in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves administration of databases, design & development of database schemas, and providing mentorship to junior staff.

Ideal candidates will have over 9 years of experience with Oracle databases, excellent communication skills, and expertise in various Oracle technologies including PL/SQL, RMAN, and Data Guard.

Job description

Oracle DBA SME (Long Term)

Position Description:

• Administration of databases throughout the development and production lifecycles.
• Design and develop logical and physical database designs from customer requirements.
• Administration tasks for several Oracle databases.
• Provide advice and support to development resources.
• Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures.
• Support the standing standards, policies and procedures of the customer team.
• Provide mentorship to group members and help develop and support mid and junior level staff.
• May be scheduled for after-hours on-call support and required to apply production packages during non-peak hours.
• Accept other duties as directed by management.

• 9+ years of experience in Oracle DBA

• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, stored procedures, and trigger development
• Expertise with troubleshooting and debugging

• Exposure to materialized views (design and implementation)
