The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for providing Application Database support for reference data applications, including database and application enhancements. The primary objective is to lead application database administration, architect resilient database solutions, and perform performance tuning.

Responsibilities:
  1. Make changes to existing Data Models (Logical & Physical), such as Client Project models, and promote them to higher environments (UAT, Production, COB) following SDLC using Release on Demand.
  2. Maintain excellent understanding of Database concepts including Procedures, Triggers, Packages, Constraints, Indexes, and Table statistics using Oracle 19c and 23ai.
  3. Design, architect, and implement resilient database solutions.
  4. Identify current performance bottlenecks and provide solutions to improve performance.
  5. Review performance reports like AWR, ADDM, ASH and suggest enhancements.
  6. Work with Linux Redhat, File System, Cluster Management (RAC), Oracle ASM & ACFS.
  7. Conduct system analysis and design, utilizing data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, ER modeling, and design tools.
  8. Design databases with normalization, STAR schema, and data modeling tools, including logical/physical layout engineering.
  9. Collaborate in teams delivering high-availability services and oversee weekend activities.
  10. Implement Oracle Golden Gate 12c/19c/23ai and support database warehouse solutions.
  11. Apply database compression, purging, and enable encryption for data in transit and at rest.
  12. Knowledge of MSSQL, mongoDB, and Postgres is advantageous.
  13. Partner with management to ensure system integration, deploy new products, and improve processes.
  14. Resolve complex business and system process problems, adhering to industry standards.
  15. Ensure application design aligns with overall architecture and infrastructure goals.
  16. Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  17. Understand business areas and how they integrate to meet goals.
  18. Provide in-depth analysis and develop innovative solutions.
  19. Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level DBAs and developers, managing work allocation.
  20. Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and report control issues transparently.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in Application DBA roles, with expertise in performance tuning and GoldenGate.
  • Proven success in managing and implementing projects.
  • Subject Matter Expert in at least one application development area.
  • Ability to quickly adjust priorities and demonstrate leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's preferred.
