Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer to troubleshoot and optimize Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance across our environments. The role emphasizes automation, collaboration with multiple teams and leadership in database best practices.

The candidate should have 3–5+ years as an Oracle DBA, a BS in CS/IS or related field (or equivalent experience), and be able to operate onsite in a Huntington corporate office location with standard benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
3-5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver automation and scripting of Oracle database activities and admin projects.
Ensure optimal performance and high availability of database systems and services against SLOs.
Collaborate with Development, Operations and non-technical stakeholders for large initiatives.
Provide technical leadership for large and/or complex business efforts.
Lead efficiency practices around Oracle database platforms to maximize utilization.
Support new DBMS releases and implement new features where appropriate.
Adapt to a fast-paced environment and rapidly develop new skills.
Promote proactive and creative opportunities in daily activities.
