State of Michigan seeks an IT specialist to support Oracle databases for MDDHS applications, ensuring security, integrity, and availability. The role involves policy development for backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning, plus production support and creating database objects.

The position offers a hybrid work option with two days on-site and three days remote. Ideal candidates will have an associate degree with IT experience or a high school diploma with substantial IT

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 16 semester credits in CS, data processing, or related; four years IT experience.
• High school diploma with three years IT programming/ops experience and four years professional IT experience equivalent to IT Infra or Programmer/Analyst P11 or 12.

Responsabilités

• Maintain integrity, security, and availability of Oracle databases.
• Ensure databases comply with DTMB standards, policies, procedures.
• Develop policy for backup/recovery, startup, shutdown, monitoring, planning, and performance tuning.
• Provide ongoing production support for new tables, columns, indexes, scripts, etc.
• Assist in creating and maintaining database scripts and maintenance tasks.
