Oracle Database Developer

Compunnel Inc. is seeking a senior Oracle database developer with over 10 years of experience in the financial industry. The role requires extensive SQL, PL/SQL, and database administration skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience as a database developer in Oracle
• Strong data analysis, design, and coding skills
• Proficient in SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, pipeline functions, views, and table partitioning
• Experience restricting access through roles, user privileges, and object privileges
• Performance tuning of stored procedures and queries
• Use of SQL Loader to load large files
• Proficiency with SQL*Plus
• Knowledge of Oracle AQ messaging
• Comfortable working on Linux servers and writing shell programs
• Experience working with a team in Agile methodology
• AWS Cloud experience is a plus
• 5+ years of work experience in the financial industry, preferably in capital markets/prime brokerage
• Understanding of glossaries and terminologies in the financial industry
• Knowledge of accounting concepts is nice to have
• Prime Brokerage application development experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams
• Good communication skills to both technology folks and business partners
