Job summary

Infosys Limited in the United States is seeking an experienced Technology Consultant 2 with strong Oracle skills. You will contribute to requirements elicitation, guide software design discussions, and help integrate new features while maintaining system stability.

The role requires Oracle 19c expertise, GoldenGate experience, and UNIX server administration. You will participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation, supporting production issues and knowledge base expansion.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA supporting large Oracle environments in UNIX.
• Experience with Oracle 19c along with 3 years of experience in Oracle GoldenGate.
• Experience with Infrastructure-Server Administration, Unix Server administration (HP-UX,IBM-AIX, Sun Solaris, Redhat Linux).
• Experience with Oracle database administration and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to requirements elicitation by documenting assigned parts of business requirements.
• Facilitate software design discussions and document decisions for the technical team.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features into existing applications while maintaining stability.
• Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase and maintain repositories.
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold quality.
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for transition to new software.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive strategies to enhance reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

• Experience with Infrastructure-Server Administration, Unix Server administration (HP-UX,IBM-AIX, Sun Solaris, Redhat Linux).
• Experience with Oracle database administration.
• Experience with Oracle performance and tuning, troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting Oracle RAC on UNIX environments.
• Experience with upgrading Oracle RAC 19c and GoldenGate environments.
• Experience with configuration GoldenGate with multimaster setup.
• Experience with Data Drift and handling multi master configuration.
• Experience with building and supporting Oracle Dataguard.
• Experience with shell scripting and Perl.
• Experience with standard Oracle tools, such as OEM, Toad, and SQL Developer.
• Experience with on-call pager duty.

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience in financial institutions.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
