Position Summary
LHH is in search for an experienced Oracle HCM consultant for a client of ours in the energy sector on a large implementation project. The role involves data migration activities and requires an understanding of all state and federal employment laws affecting both the employer and employee. The individual must have a functional understanding of HR processes, Oracle HCM Cloud configuration, data migration, requirements gathering and testing, project management, strong communication skills, change management, and, if available, Oracle Cloud certification. Additional helpful skillsets include technical expertise in Oracle HCM Core integrations, customizations, and scripting.
This is a remote, contract position lasting a minimum of 9 months with possible travel to client headquarters in the Portland Area when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Help migrate our Human Capital Management System (People Pro/Kronos WFR) to the Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud product. Develop and test data feeds between Oracle and existing software products used for HR processes.
- Support all aspects of Oracle HCM, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and deployment. Understand our client's needs and work to meet those needs through feeds and standard processes, including compensation management, performance management, benefits administration, onboarding, hire-to-retire lifecycle, etc.
- Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects and processes, often under tight deadlines.

Minimum Skills, Qualifications, and Abilities
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or a related field. Concentration in human resources, business, or technology-related discipline preferred. Oracle Cloud Certification preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in Oracle HCM implementations and data migration activities with a functional understanding of HR processes, HCM Cloud configuration, project & change management. Other required experience includes:
- Expertise in configuring various Oracle HCM Cloud modules like Core HR, Talent Management, Payroll, Benefits, and Workforce Management.
- Knowledge of lookups, workflows, security roles, and data mapping.
- Implementation Methodology:
- Project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor Oracle HCM Cloud implementation phases.
- Experience with requirements gathering, gap analysis, design workshops, and solution development.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of integrations with other systems (e.g., ERP, payroll).
- Basic knowledge of PL/SQL or other scripting languages for customizations.
- Familiarity with data migration tools and techniques.
Change Management:
- Understanding of change management principles to effectively train users and manage the transition to the new system.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to facilitate discussions and gather requirements from business users.
- Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Functional HR Expertise:
- Understanding of core HR functions like recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, time and attendance, and talent management.
- Ability to map business requirements to Oracle HCM Cloud functionalities.
Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
