Job summary

The University of Chicago’s IT Services team is seeking a seasoned Cloud/Environment/SaaS Engineer to manage its Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP ecosystem.

In this role, you will oversee environment lifecycle management across production, test, and development instances, coordinate Oracle quarterly patch cycles, and ensure the stability of custom integrations, leveraging REST/SOAP APIs, SQL/PL/SQL, and scripting tools like Python or Bash to automate and streamline operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Oracle Cloud environment management and integrations.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs and Oracle Business Events.
• Proficiency in SQL/PLSQL for data extraction.

Responsibilities

• Manage SaaS environment pods (production, test, development).
• Coordinate and test Oracle quarterly patches to protect integrations.
• Assist with Mulesoft and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tasks.
• Develop front-ends with Visual Builder interacting with SaaS data.
• Conduct business process analyses and preliminary cost/benefits analyses with moderate direction.
• Keep systems aligned with evolving business requirements and propose improvements.
