Job summary

Eurofins USA seeks an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Assessment Consultant to conduct a comprehensive health check of our Oracle HCM Cloud environment, with emphasis on Payroll and Benefits. Reporting to the VP of HR, the consultant will deliver a detailed health check report with actionable recommendations to enhance usability, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud HCM.
  • Hands-on Payroll and Benefits expertise.
  • Experience conducting system assessments, audits, or health checks.
  • Experience with full HCM lifecycle implementations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Support HCM cloud activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Perform a holistic review of the Oracle Cloud HCM system, focusing on Payroll and Benefits.
  • Evaluate system configuration against Oracle leading practices and benchmarks.
  • Assess payroll and benefits workflows, identify opportunities for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Assist in stakeholder alignment for HCM initiatives.
  • Collaborate across departments to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Assess Payroll configuration, processing, and controls, earnings, deductions, tax setup, and compliance.
  • Review payroll reconciliation processes and audit controls.
  • Assess benefits plan design, eligibility, enrollment, and integrations.
  • Identify risks and gaps between system capabilities and business needs.
  • Evaluate automation opportunities to reduce manual workarounds.
  • Assess data integrity, reporting, and data governance.
  • Review integrations with vendors, GL, and benefits carriers.
  • Evaluate system performance and data flows.
  • Assess use of Fast Formulas, HDL, HCM Extracts, and reporting tools.
  • Analyze metrics and reporting to support improvements.
  • Conduct interviews/workshops with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback on usability and pain points.
  • Provide SME guidance on best practices.

Job Description

The Oracle Cloud HCM Assessment Consultant is essential to sustaining growth and enabling the Eurofins organization to operate efficiently. We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Consultant to conduct a comprehensive health check and system assessment of our Oracle HCM Cloud environment. This short-term assignment will evaluate the effectiveness, configuration, compliance, and optimization opportunities across all HCM modules, with a strong focus on Payroll and Benefits.

Reporting to the VP of HR, this position will be expected to deliver a comprehensive health check report along with key findings and actionable recommendations to improve user experience, compliance, and overall operational effectiveness of our Oracle Cloud HCM system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support HCM cloud activities across the project lifecycle
  • Perform a holistic review of the Oracle Cloud HCM system, including Core HR, Payroll (primary focus), Benefits (primary focus), Time & Labor, Absence Management, and Security
  • Evaluate system configuration against Oracle leading practices and industry benchmarks
  • Assess payroll and benefits workflows within the HCM system by analyzing processes and known bugs, with the goal of identifying opportunities for improved accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
  • Assist in maintaining stakeholder alignment and engagement for HCM-related initiatives
  • Partner with departments across the organization to identify pain points and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and efficiencies within the HCM platform
  • Conduct detailed assessments of Payroll configuration, processing, and controls, earnings, deductions, tax setup, and compliance
  • Review payroll reconciliation processes and audit controls
  • Conduct detailed assessment of Benefits plan design, eligibility rules, enrollment processes, and numerous integrations
  • Assess benefits administration accuracy and integration with payroll
  • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and overall gaps between system capabilities and business requirements
  • Evaluate automation opportunities to remove or limit manual workarounds
  • Assess data integrity, reporting capabilities, and data governance practices
  • Review inbound/outbound integrations (e.g., vendors, GL, benefits carriers)
  • Evaluate system performance and data flows
  • Assess use of Fast Formulas, HDL, HCM Extracts, and reporting tools
  • Analyze metrics and reporting to support process improvement and system optimization
  • Conduct interviews/workshops with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and IT stakeholders
  • Gather feedback on system usability and pain points
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and guidance on best practices
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ)
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience working directly with Oracle Cloud HCM
  • Experience supporting HCM or HR-related projects with strong hands-on expertise in Payroll and Benefits
  • Proven experience conducting system assessments, audits, or health checks
  • Experience with full HCM lifecycle implementations and/or post-go-live optimization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Education/Experience (BMQ)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Oracle Cloud certifications (HCM, Payroll, Benefits)
  • Experience in multi-state or complex payroll environments
  • Prior consulting experience with system optimization engagements
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Payroll processing, tax configuration, compliance requirements, and Benefits configuration including life event processing and integrations
  • Familiarity with Fast Formulas, HCM Extracts, OTBI, BI reporting, and HDL (HCM Data Loader)
  • Experience reviewing integrations and third-party vendor connections
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience presenting findings to senior leadership

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
