Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an experienced Database Engineer to support modernization of a critical government information system. The role focuses on Oracle 19c administration in on-prem and AWS RDS, with schema design, performance tuning, and robust backup/restore procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

You will collaborate with Java developers, support SAP BI reporting needs, and ensure seamless integration with Apache Solr indexing.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Oracle 19c databases in production environments.
• Experience with Oracle DBA in on-premises and AWS RDS.
• Designing and implementing enterprise database schemas.
• Performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Backup and restore procedures for Oracle databases.
• Oracle security hardening measures.
• Patch management and upgrades for Oracle databases.
• Java app integration with databases.
• Experience with Apache Solr integration.
• Experience with government compliance controls (FISMA/FedRAMP).
• Database monitoring tools deployment and use.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Responsibilities
