Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good oral communication in English.
• Adequate vision and hearing to assess changes in condition.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Hold a current BLS card from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the OR and related areas.
• Clean and turnover surgical areas to maintain a 30-minute turnover goal.
• Stock sub-sterile areas and stock in the OR. Order supplies as needed.
• Assist with setup for surgical procedures by obtaining necessary equipment.
• Assist in moving patients to and from the OR table, stretcher, or bed.
• Assist in PACU and Holding when necessary for patient transport.
