Job summary

Qualifications

• LPN license with two years of scrub experience OR completion of a Surgical Technology Program with certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes aseptic technique in sterile and non-sterile OR roles.
• Assists circulating RN to maintain a sterile field and monitor technique.
• Performs sponge, instrument, and needle counts with the RN.
• Assists with gowning/gloving and positioning equipment and instruments.
• Passes sterile instruments to the surgical team during procedures.
• Assists with patient transport and positioning under surgeon direction.
• Prepares supplies/equipment per preference cards.
• Assists with sterilization and maintenance of supplies/equipment.
• Monitors inventory, orders, restocks, and discards outdated items.
• Records patient charges properly.
• Responds to calls within 30 minutes.
• Mentors junior technologists and supports development.
