Qualifications

  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification required within one year of graduation.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Job Summary

Surgical Technologist - 36-hour rotating shift. Offering three levels of the surgical technologist career ladder.

Qualifications

Education and Experience requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program (*see substitution below)
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification required within one year of graduation or if employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility before July 1st, 2013, or completed military or public health service training in surgical technology
  • Graduates without certification have one year from graduation to obtain it
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting required

Preferred experience:

  • Associate degree preferred
  • 4 years’ experience as Surgical Technologist preferred
  • Committee and leadership experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
