Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the Main Operating Room in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. You will assist with robotics, gynecologic, thoracic, urologic, and general cases while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety.

Ideal candidates have CST certification and experience in a high-volume OR, with the ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to evolving procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred.
• CST certification (NCCT or NBSTSA) required; 180 days to obtain if new graduate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile technique and prepare instruments for procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist across robotic, gynecologic, thoracic, urologic, and general cases.
• Collaborate with circulator to ensure patient safety and efficient case turnover.
