Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time position includes a 6:45am-3:15pm schedule with on-call rotation and competitive hourly pay based on experience.

You will scrub, prepare instruments, and assist the surgical team to ensure patient safety across age groups. Eligible candidates may have CST certification and prior OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job training.
• Certification in surgical technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for surgical procedures based on physicians request and the needs of patient; exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff. Inspects, properly cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment appropriately.
• Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician’s preference and hospital policies and procedures. Anticipates, and is attentive to, the surgeon’s needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during the surgical procedure.
• Demonstrates the skills necessary to provide a safe environment and communicate effectively with all age groups of patients – pediatric through geriatric.
