Position Overview

The surgical technologist, under the guidance of the registered nurse, is responsible for ensuring the care and safety of patients. Responsibilities include case preparation, assisting with patient preparation, handling instruments and equipment properly, preparing the sterile field based on the specific procedure and surgeon's preference, and anticipating the surgeon's needs.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
2. Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology (Required)
3. BLS - Basic Life Support certification (Required)
4. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (CORT) (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

1. One year of experience in an operating room

Certification requirement applies only to individuals hired after December 29, 2020.
