Job summary

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician II to support the surgical team. The role involves scrubbing, instrument handling, and aiding in patient care under RN supervision.

You will help decontaminate instruments and may assist with circulating duties as needed. Requirements include graduation from a Certified Surgical Technologist program, CST or TS-C certification, and BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Certified Surgical Technologist program required.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology required.
• CST or TS-C required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire required.
• Operating Room scrub tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient care activities and perform Surgical Technician duties in the scrub role.
• Decontaminate instruments as needed.
• Assist the RN with circulating duties as appropriate.
