Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on Washington's North Olympic Peninsula is seeking a registered nurse for the Surgical Unit. You will assess and plan patient care, supervise technicians, and participate in patient/family teaching across the life span.

Shifts vary with patient needs and on-call responsibilities. Requires WA RN licensure, BLS and ACLS; graduation from an accredited nursing program. OMC offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing, required.
• Minimum one-year recent surgical experience preferred.
• Current Washington State RN license, required.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), required.
• Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients in the surgical unit spanning all ages.
• Promotes continuity of care by direct care and supervision of surgical technicians and staff.
• Participates in patient and family teaching.
• Maintains standards for professional nursing practices.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across life span and provides age-appropriate care.
