Job summary

Boone Health is seeking an operating room support team member to assist medical and nursing staff during the pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases. Responsibilities include room turnover, stocking supplies and equipment, and patient transport.

The role emphasizes teamwork and safe patient handling, with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. over a four-day, 10-hour schedule, and minimal on-call duties. Benefits begin on day one of employment at Boone Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No Experience required.
• No Supervisor Experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients timely, safely and with proper documents.
• Assists with room turnover. Has necessary equipment gathered, assists with gathering and removing soiled trash, and linen, biohazardous waste.
• Assists with positioning and prepping of patient. Obtains blood and blood products, additional supplies, equipment, instruments as needed during procedure.
• Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards, to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies
• Delivers intraoperative care as an assistant to the surgeon as a collaborative team member
• Performs housekeeping duties to assigned areas.
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
