Job summary

BJC HealthCare – West County Hospital in Missouri is seeking a dedicated team member for Perioperative Services. In this role, you’ll support medical and nursing staff in pre, intra, and post-operative phases, transport patients, assist with room turnover and supply management, and help with patient positioning and prep.

This full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule (10:30am–7:00pm) with no on-call requirement, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within a leading

Role Purpose

Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including room turnover, clean and stock supplies and equipment and patient transport.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients timely, safely and with proper documents.
• Assists with room turnover. Has necessary equipment gathered, assists with gathering and removing soiled trash, and linen, biohazardous waste.
• Assists with positioning and prepping of patient. Obtains blood and blood products, additional supplies, equipment, instruments as needed during procedure.
• Performs housekeeping duties to assigned areas.
