Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Sterile Distribution Technician to support operating rooms and Central Sterilization. You will transport supplies, instrument trays, and equipment to surgical service areas and assist with stat cases throughout the day.

The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and effective communication with the perioperative team. First shift; no weekends; on-site at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include patient-centered practice and cultural awareness.
• Effective communication with interprofessional teams and families.
• Inventory and resource management with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interact with staff, patients, families in a respectful, collaborative manner.
• Transport and deliver supplies/equipment to care areas; coordinate with team.
• Distribute sterile sets and disposables; track items via barcode system.
• Document information and relay messages to supervisors and managers.
• Maintain stock levels and shelf life; ensure product integrity.
• Assist in storage of sterile and non-sterile supplies; order inventory.
• Participate in onboarding new team members per campus.
