Job summary

Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Surgical Technician to provide patient care in the Operating Room, using aseptic technique and supporting the service excellence goals of care.

The successful candidate will oversee orientation within the clinical specialty, coordinate with surgeons, and maintain quarterly preference cards for the specialty. Bachelor’s degree is preferred and CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4-6 years of previous job-related experience. Preferred: 7 plus years of job-related experience.
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care in the Operating Room by utilizing aseptic technique, focusing on the needs of the surgical patient, and upholding service excellence goals.
• Oversees orientation in the clinical specialty and coordinates with physicians in their field.
• Maintains the preference cards for the assigned specialty on a quarterly basis.
