Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish seeks an OR Service Lead Tech Coordinator to oversee perioperative nursing in the OR, ensuring safe, efficient patient care. The role requires advanced knowledge of surgical scrubbing, back table setup, sterile supplies, and coordination across the OR team.

The position rotates within the service line, supporting competency, orientation, and ongoing education for staff and students. This role is based in Englewood, CO, with a focus on quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• BCLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• Vocational School Graduate.
• (ST) Surgical Technologist, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist.
• No Travel Required.
• 1 year experience Required.
• 5 years experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and understands the unique aspects of patient care in the OR.
• Rotates to areas other than assigned service area as needed and performs duties within competency.
• Acts as a resource in aseptic technique, back table setup, sterile supplies and equipment.
• Contributes to development of orientation programs and training for student practicum and surgical scrub education.

The OR Service Lead Tech Coordinator demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and understands the unique aspects of the population served in the care of his/her patients. Each service also requires specialized skills. The delivery of care is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs of the individual patient. The OR Service Lead Tech may rotate to areas other than his/her assigned service area/s, and will perform only those duties for which he/she has demonstrated competency. The OR Service Coordinator performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at SMC. The OR Service Lead Tech incorporates all of the duties as above, and functions as a resource in all aspects of aseptic technique, consistent back table set up, sterile supplies and equipment. This OR Service Lead Tech will participate in the development of new orientation programs, assisting with student practicums and developing additional training/education as it relates to the surgical scrub role.
