Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Hazleton is seeking a surgical team member to scrub in and support the operative procedure, maintaining a sterile field and anticipating the surgeon's needs. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure patient safety and efficient case flow.

As part of the operating room team, you will collaborate with the circulating nurse, perform sterile technique, and participate in case preparation and turnover, with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Technical School Diploma LPN Program.
• Less than 1 year experience may be required.
• Ability to adapt to change within a healthcare setting.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical and surgical supplies and sterile techniques.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates safe and effective conduct of invasive procedures and maintains sterile field.
• Performs surgical counts and prepares case carts.
• Collaborates with circulating nurse to prepare OR and gather sterile supplies.
• Prepares and maintains sterile field using aseptic techniques and ensures equipment works properly.
• Performs in-between case cleaning turnover in OR suite.
