HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Patient Scheduler to coordinate surgical procedure scheduling with physicians’ offices, prioritizing cases to optimize OR flow and patient care. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to verify insurance, obtain precertifications, and enter data into scheduling systems.

Previous healthcare scheduling experience is preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience is required; scheduling experience preferred.
• Insurance verification and prior authorization experience preferred.
• Medical terminology is preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication, instruction reading, and PC skills.

• Document scheduling information accurately, then monitor, audit and distribute the schedule.
• Obtain precertification/authorization numbers and enter them in scheduling or registration system.
• Obtain and enter accurate insurance information.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic professional to join us as a Patient Scheduler. You will coordinate the scheduling of surgical procedures with the physicians’ offices, prioritize procedures to ensure efficient patient flow and optimum utilization of OR resources.
