HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Charge Nurse Trauma Stepdown to lead patient care on the unit. You will partner with management to monitor nursing care, support staff, and drive a superior patient experience.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, assisting admissions/discharges, coaching staff, and helping with scheduling. Requires RN licensure, ADN, and ACLS/BLS/Stroke Scale credentials within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 6 months of start date.
• Active RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent.
• TNCC or Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• Trauma Care After Resuscitatio, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
