Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with 1+ year of OR experience. This role supports cardiac or vascular cases and utilizes the BSWH nursing model to coordinate patient care.

A $20,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits are available. The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, and participate in quality improvement while delivering safe, patient-centered care in a high-volume OR.

Qualifications

• 1+ year OR RN experience; scrub experience preferred (cardiac/vascular OR highly preferred).
• Licensed RN with BLS certification.
• Proficient in patient assessment and nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments according to standards and prioritize patient/family needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Promote safe patient transitions and prevent delays in care.
• Identify and respond to patient condition changes and document outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice changes.
• Delegate tasks to team members and ensure timely follow-up.
