Job summary

Trinity Health MI in Grand Rapids is seeking a Registered Nurse to support its surgical suite. You will work in a newly renovated OR with hybrid imaging capabilities, delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires an ADN (BSN preferred), Michigan licensure, and prior nursing experience. The position offers a 12-hour day shift, full-time schedule, and comprehensive benefits in a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• Experience required.

Responsibilities

• Before a surgical procedure: ensure OR is set up correctly.
• Set up the surgical area, laying out instruments and supplies according to the surgeon's preferences.
• Checks all equipment needed during the procedure to verify that it's functioning normally.
• Verifies the patient's identity and necessary consent forms and reviews the site and nature of the procedure with the OR team.
• During the operation: provides sterile fluids and medications as needed.
• Replenishes supplies if needed and acts as patient advocate during the procedure.
