Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the newly renovated OR suite. The role involves a 12-hour night shift, full-time schedule, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, supporting the surgical team, and advocating for patients throughout procedures. Michigan licensure and ADN are required, with BSN preferred and ongoing BSN advancement encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
• Experience as a nurse is required.
• ADN and enrollment in BSN program within 6 months of hire if located in Grand Rapids.
• Ability to work in a surgical/OR setting.

Responsibilities

• Before a procedure: ensure the OR is set up correctly and ready per surgeon's preferences.
• Set up the surgical area and instruments; verify equipment is functioning.
• Verify patient identity and consent forms; review procedure with OR team.
• During the operation: provide sterile fluids and medications as needed.
• Replenish supplies and act as patient advocate during surgery.
