Job summary

Baylor University Medical Center – Dallas, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse. The role uses the BSWH nursing model to coordinate care in the OR, includes assessing patients and implementing individualized plans, and ensuring safe passage through surgery.

Typical shifts are full-time day with 12-hour shifts and one weekend day, with a 30-minute on-call arrival time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Valid Texas RN license is required.
• Minimum 1 year of OR RN experience in a hospital setting.
• Robotic surgery experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Assess patient needs, develop and revise individualized care plans.
• Execute patient care using the nursing process and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
