- Location: Waterloo, IA 50702
- Healthcare Setting: Surgery Unit / Operating Room
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/19/2025 – End: 1/17/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1840 - $1980
- Call: Overnight call every 1-2 weeks; weekend call every 4-5th weekend; holidays included in call rotation
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract Registered Nurse
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Proficient in surgical procedures and perioperative nursing care
- Ability to participate in call rotation (overnight, weekends, holidays)
- Meets all onboarding requirements: background check, drug screening, health screenings, competency testing
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate care to surgical patients
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operative procedures
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes during surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols
- Accurately document patient care and surgical activities
- Participate in scheduled call rotation (overnight, weekends, holidays)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
