Job summary

Bucks County Surgical Suites Highpoint is seeking an OR Registered Nurse to provide critical nursing care during surgical cases. You will position and prep patients, circulate cases, and evaluate care for all ages in the OR.

Collaborate with physicians, patients, and teams per nursing standards and center policies. Responsibilities may include committee work, quality audits, and participation in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in PA required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to scrub and circulate as needed.
• At least 1 year intra-operative experience.
• Demonstrates clinical competency and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Position, prep, and circulate patients during surgery.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in OR.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families and staff.
• Uphold nursing standards and hospital policies.
• May participate in quality improvement and committees.

Eligible for a Sign-on Bonus up to $7,500.00

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The OR RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in PA
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS required upon hire and required within one year of hiring date.
• Ability to Scrub and Circulate as needed.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
