Job summary

Bucks County Surgical Suites Highpoint is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide nursing care during surgery, position and prep patients, and circulate cases. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for all ages in the OR and ensure care aligns with nursing standards and center policies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, a PA RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS within one year of hire, and at least one year of intra-operative experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active PA RN license required on hire.
• BLS, ACLS or PALS required within one year of hire.
• Ability to Scrub and Circulate as needed.
• One year intra-operative experience required.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership and teaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Position, prep, and circulate the surgical case.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for all ages in OR.
• Communicate needs and information to physicians, patients, and team members.
• Participate in committees and quality improvement as assigned.

Eligible for a Sign-on Bonus up to $7,500.00

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The OR RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in PA
• BLS, ACLS, or PALS required upon hire and required within one year of hiring date.
• Ability to Scrub and Circulate as needed.
• One year experience required intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
