Langhorne Surgery Center in Langhorne, PA is seeking an experienced RN to join our outpatient surgical team. The role involves delivering safe nursing care throughout the perioperative process and supporting patients in pre-op, OR, or recovery areas as assigned.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Associates/Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care in accordance with policies and standards.
• Perform patient assessments, obtain histories, monitor vitals, identify changes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room with equipment and supplies.
• Assist surgeons and team during procedures by providing instruments and supplies.
• Monitor and assess patients during surgical procedures.
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR.
• Operate a C-Arm/fluoroscope under guidance of the surgeon.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. The RN will provide safe, high-quality nursing care throughout the surgical process and may support patients in the pre-operative, operating room, and/or recovery areas based on assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Perform patient assessments, obtain nursing histories, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and members of the healthcare team.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room, including ensuring appropriate equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist surgeons and clinical team members during surgical procedures by providing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Monitor and assess patients during surgical procedures.
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Accurately document assessments, nursing interventions, patient responses, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Operate a C-Arm/fluoroscope under the guidance of and in conjunction with the surgeon, as assigned.
• Support a collaborative, safe, and efficient surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Associate's Degreeor Bachelorof Science Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Preferred

• At least two year of experience in the Operating Room.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, scrub processes, and perioperative patient care.
• Experience in Pain Management procedures.
• Experience in operating a C-Armin a surgical setting.
• Experience in Opthalmology.
• Knowlege of SIS.
