Job summary

Riverside Healthcare is seeking an RN for the Operating Room to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate intraoperative care. You will coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technologists, assess patient status, and implement nursing interventions throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

The role requires strong clinical and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with the Illinois State Board of Examiners.
• New Graduate RNs starting on or after 1/1/25 must earn BSN within 3 years of start date.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health status and readiness for surgery; review medical history.
• Act as scrub or circulating nurse; maintain sterile field and manage instruments.
• Monitor vital signs and communicate concerns to the surgical team.
• Ensure safe patient transfer from operating room to recovery area; provide postoperative care.
