Job summary

Mission Hospital is hiring an OR RN to provide leadership and high-quality care in the main OR. Shifts run 11am–9pm with on-call responsibilities. The role emphasizes nursing process steps—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—and dedicated patient teaching for family members.

Requirements include an Associate degree in nursing, current NC RN licensure (eNLC; confirm with NCBBON), and BLS/ACLS certifications. A one-year OR experience is preferred.

• Must have and maintain current RN licensure with NC BON; eNLC may apply.

Job Summary and Qualifications

This position is in the main OR at Mission Hospital, nurses are trained in all cases. Shift: 11am-9pm with call.

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Experience: One year of OR nursing experience
• Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
• Required Certification: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred Certification: Certification in area of specialty
