Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, seeks an OR Registered Nurse for the Main OR. This role offers a sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment and requires an active NC RN license, BLS and ACLS, and an Associate Degree in Nursing.

New to OR cohorts are scheduled for those without OR experience; the upcoming cohort starts on 10/19/2026. Experienced nurses with 1 year of RN experience may work a 11am-9pm shift with call.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience is required.
• OR experience is preferred.
• Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
• Masters in Nursing is preferred.
• Must have and maintain current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Certification in area of specialty is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to facilitate professional nursing care and uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document care.
• Implements medically prescribed interventions.
• Delivers patient and family education and coordinates care with the healthcare team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• Unit: Mission Hospital Main OR. Nurses are trained in all cases.

• New to specialty: OR Cohorts are scheduled for those who do not have OR experience. Upcoming cohort starts on 10/19/2026.

• Experienced Nurses: Nurses who have 1yr of experience will have a 11am-9pm shift with call.

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Experience: One year of RN experience

• Preferred Experience: OR experience

• Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing.

• Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing.

• Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON

• Required Certification: BLS and ACLS

• Preferred Certification: Certification in area of specialty
