Job summary

Mission Health is seeking an OR Registered Nurse for Mission Hospital Main OR in Asheville, NC. The role supports a fast-paced surgical unit and uses SPOT technology to detect sepsis early.

New to the specialty, OR cohorts start 10/19/2026; experienced RNs with 1 year of RN experience work 11am–9pm with call. A sign-on bonus applies with a two-year commitment to Mission Health.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: One year of RN experience.
• Preferred Experience: OR experience.
• Required Education: Associates Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing.
• Required License: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
• Required Certification: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred Certification: Certification in area of specialty

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching patients and family.
• Implements medically prescribed interventions.

• Unit: Mission Hospital Main OR. Nurses are trained in all cases.
• New to specialty: OR Cohorts are scheduled for those who do not have OR experience. Upcoming cohort starts on 10/19/2026.
• Experienced Nurses: Nurses who have 1yr of experience will have a 11am-9pm shift with call.
