Job summary

Inova Northern Virginia Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to support intraoperative imaging in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role expands traditional radiology duties within the OR team.

You will work alongside surgeons, nurses, and technologists to ensure high-quality imaging, safety, and efficiency throughout procedures. In addition to C-arm imaging, you’ll help maintain equipment and follow regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an appropriate radiographic technician program.
• Virginia Radiologic Technologist license required.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with C-arm imaging preferred; OR experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time imaging support during surgical procedures using C-arm and mini C-arm equipment.
• Monitor and uphold radiation safety standards for patients, physicians, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with equipment inspections, dosimeter monitoring, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proficiency with C-arm, and mini C-arm equipment.
• Inspect and maintain protective equipment including lead aprons and shields.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons and OR staff to ensure optimal imaging and workflow.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and patient care.
• Support overall OR efficiency by assisting with additional perioperative duties as assigned.
• Maintains all records for inspections and radiation monitoring.
